چکیده

Background: This study aimed to investigate the value of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) guided purulence and local isoniazid injection after lymph node puncture in treatment refractory mediastinal tuberculous lymphadenitis (MTLA) as compared systemic anti-tuberculosis treatment.

The diagnostic accuracy of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in mediastinal tuberculous lymphadenitis

Background/aim: Mediastinal lymph nodes are the second most commonly affected lymph nodes in tuberculous lymphadenitis. It is often difficult to diagnose tuberculosis in patients with lymphadenopathy without parenchymal lesions. The aim of this study was to describe the diagnostic utility of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in patients with isolated m...

Diagnostic Value of Convex Probe Endobronchial Ultrasound-Guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration in Mediastinal Tuberculous Lymphadenitis: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

BACKGROUND Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) has been widely used in the diagnosis of mediastinal lymphadenopathies. Here, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the diagnostic value of EBUS-TBNA in mediastinal tuberculous lymphadenopathy (TBLA). MATERIAL AND METHODS PubMed, EMBASE, and Sinoced were systematically searched for ...

Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration in diagnosing mediastinal lymphadenopathy

CONTEXT The diagnosis of mediastinal lymphadenopathy is always a challenge. There always a need of a technique that is highly accurate as well as safe for diagnosis the same. AIMS The aim of the study is to assess the clinical usefulness and safety profile of endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) in diagnosing the patients with mediastinal lymphadenopath...

Single bronchoscope combined endoscopic-endobronchial ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration for tuberculous mediastinal nodes.

We fully support the use of a single linear endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) bronchoscope for both endobronchial ultrasoundguided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) and endoscopic ultrasound-guided fi ne-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) of mediastinal lymph nodes, as reported in the recent CHEST article by Herth et al. 1 Having initially established and reported our own results with EBUS-TB...

Mediastinal lymphangioma treated using endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration.

Lymphangiomas are localized malformations of the lymphatic system that most commonly occur in the head and neck. However, less than 1% of all lymphangiomas are confined to the mediastinum. The standard treatment has been surgical excision, but the involvement of vital structures in the area local to the lymphangioma makes total excision virtually impossible in most cases. To our knowledge, ther...
